Finbar (and Family) are originally from The Gorbals district of Glasgow.
He did his undergraduate training at the University of Edinburgh achieving his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1995.
He then relocated to rural Staffordshire on graduation to undertake his first stage of postgraduate training for 3 years completing his General Professional Training (GPT) in both general practice in Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent with a Clinical assistant post at Lichfield Hospital (in Orthodontics) and at Dudley Road Hospital (Restorative Dentistry-DGDP Pt I)
Fin then moved to The East Midlands in 1999, where he has continued his extensive post graduate studies over the last 25 years.
He owned his first practice at Victoria Embankment next to Trent Bridge from 1999-2009 developing it from a then standard NHS Practice into a large 5 surgery multi-disciplinary referral centre (for Oral surgery and Implantology) and providing general dental services.
